In 1983, after graduating from high school, Rafael Alvarez moved to New York and enrolled at the City College of New York. While attending City College, he opened his first business named Alvarez Income Tax Center.

Rafael’s success and recognition in the area of tax preparation came through his well developed expertise in the tax industry. In 1986 while attending City College, Rafael founded AlvarezTax and soon this company became a recognized name in the tax business marketplace.

AlvarezTax has been a very successful business and it has a proven track record of high quality costumer services and consistent financial growth. In 2007, Rafael created AlvarezTax Franchise which allows replication of the successful business concept developed and refined in the last twenty three years. Rafael Alvarez established his first tax business with two hundred ($200) dollars of his saving and one computer and a fax machine.

Today, Mr. Alvarez is the Chief Executive Officer of AlvarezTax Franchise which is the parent company of ATAX Accounting and Financial Services as the only Latino tax service franchise in the United States. Rafael Alvarez has assembled at team of some of the most experienced persons in the tax industry with more than 150 years of combined experience to propel the ATAX Franchise business model to the national and international market.
